Deputy International Bishop
November 2011
JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Deputy International Bishop is to provide oversight, supervision, direction and leadership for the church, preaching and teaching, Administration, and Pastoral Care national and internationally
WORKING WITH/THROUGH: The International Secretary and Head of Administration and her Deputy
ACCOUNTABLE TO: The International Bishop and the International Board of Management
PREACHING & TEACHING
- · Gives direction to the preaching and teaching ministry of the church
- · Ability to preach using a variety of styles i.e. expository, topical, textual, historical narrative and using all necessary dynamics, interpretations and exegesis of scriptural text
- · Spends the necessary time in study and prayer to prepare for weekly worship services, additional Bible studies, prayer meetings, classes, and training
- · Officiates at special services such as baby blessings and other services as instructed by the International Bishop
- · Ability to carry out marriages, funerals and public services etc
- · Facilitate/provide educational sessions for the development of Ministers, Deacons, Evangelists, Missionaries, regularly involved in church services of the conference national and internationally e.g. on public speaking, sermon preparation etc
- · Undertake a period of mentorship in preparation to assume the role of International Bishop, at an appointed time
LEADERSHIP
- · Provides effective leadership in relationships, among the Ministers, Deacons, Evangelists, Missionaries, Heads of Department Advisory Board committee, and church members at a national and international level
- · Works closely with the Pastoral Staff , Deacons, Evangelists, Missionaries, International Board of Management and church members to identify ministry priorities to move the conference closer to the vision and mission
- · Responsible to see that strategic initiatives developed by the church leadership are carried out with excellence and in accordance with the mission and vision of the church, in conjunction with the International Bishop
- · Show loyalty to the leadership of the International Bishop, the International secretary and Head of administration and her Deputy and staff, and the conference as a whole
- · Willingness to work with the International Bishops vision for the benefit of the conference
ADMINISTRATION
- · Oversees the administration and management of all areas of the church’s ministry in consultation with the International Bishop, and the International secretary and Head of Administration, her Deputy and staff
- · Presides as the moderator of the International Board of Management and church business meetings in the absence of the International Bishop/or when delegated
- · Attends and participates in all decision making processes with the overall church mission and vision in mind
- · Ability to manage administrative staff
- · Carry any other work as instructed by the International Bishop deemed necessary to the role
- · Report back to the International Bishop via the International secretary and her staff
PASTORAL CARE
- · In conjunction with the International Bishop, Pastoral Staff , Deacons , Evangelists, and Missionaries is responsible to ensure that the spiritual needs of the congregation can be provided through various ministries
- · Provides pastoral care to those in personal crisis through visitation, counseling, and prayer
- · Appropriately and expediently responds to crisis situations which arise in the congregation and makes appropriate professional referrals when necessary
- · Ability to keep all churches in the UK in order and unity
- · Ability to work with overseers, senior pastors and other ministers at national and international level
- · Ability to rectify difficult problems which may lead to divisions or unhappiness in the church
- · Ability to advise and deal with difficult situations e.g. family related , marital
- · Able to display an attitude of humility in all aspects of the ministry

FINANCIAL
- · Gravity of controlling church finances and ensuring all books are in suitable position for audit purposes

QUALIFICATIONS
- · Holy ghost anointed
- · Education: preferably having done some theological studies
- · Experience: a minimum of 5 years of pasturing a church
- · Some evidence of management training in secular or spiritual realm
- · Ability to produce reports, management plans and church programmes
- · Ability to provide suitable conference topics for the church he pastors, and if requested by the International Bishop to provide a topic for other services
- · Ability to carry out public speaking on behalf of the church, and in conjunction with local or national bodies.

Job Description Deputy Head of Hospitality and Public Relations Department November 2011
JOB SUMMARY: The Deputy Head of the Hospitality Department and Public Relations Department will support the Head of Hospitality and Public Relations Department in acting as the face of the Mount Zion 7th Day Church of God [UK International Conference]. She will play a central role under the guidance of the Head of Hospitality and Public Relations Department in raising the profile of the conference by interfacing with others, in particular local visitors or international visitors attending special events to ensure their wellbeing. There will be a requirement to Deputise in the absence of the Head Department.
WORKING WITH/THROUGH: The International Secretary and Head of Administration and her Deputy
ACCOUNTABLE TO: The International Bishop, Deputy International Bishop and the International Board of Management
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome Under the guidance of the Head of the Hospitality Department and Public Relations Department: • visitors ensuring they are familiar with the building, provide information, and answer any questions they may have • Ensure that visitors staying the day are provided with a meal • Support the coordination of sending gifts, barrels to oversees churches and conferences, and fund raising activities • Plan for special events • Produce reports • Attend relevant meetings • Carry any other work as instructed by the International Secretary and Head of Administration and her Deputy deemed necessary to the role • Attend any training relevant to the role • Show loyalty to the leadership of the International Bishop or His Deputy and the conference as a whole • Willingness to work with the International Bishops vision for the benefit of the conference

JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Deputy International secretary will provide a range of administrative support to the International secretary, on a local, national and international level and be responsible for the conference in her absence.
WORKING WITH/THROUGH: The International Secretary and Head of Administration
ACCOUNATBLE TO: The International Bishop, Deputy International Bishop and the International Board of Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to type letters, reply to letters and emails
- Making oversees calls as directed by the International Secretary and Head of Administration, or in her absence as directed by the International Bishop or his Deputy
- Ability to accurately take instructions, or record information relayed by phone, email or letter
- Ability to produce reports, management plans and church programmes
- Attend and minute meetings
- Deputise in the absence of the International Secretary and Head of Administration
- Carry any other work as instructed by the International secretary deemed necessary to the role
- Show loyalty to the leadership of the International Bishop, the International secretary and her staff and the conference as a whole
- Willingness to work with the International Bishops vision for the benefit of the conference
- Accompany the International Secretary and Head of Administration on visits where possible

He will provide oversight, supervision, direction and leadership, with a particular focus on men, identify fund raising opportunities and contribute to the promotion of theological studies.
